A Certificate of Incorporation is the official document of a company registered in Cyprus, issued by the Registrar of Companies.
The issuance of the certificate of incorporation marks the beginning of the company’s legal existence and it constitutes undisputable evidence that all the legal requirements regarding its registration, as well as all relevant steps preceding its registration, have been complied with.
Once a company is registered under the Cyprus Companies Law (Cap 113.), the Certificate of Incorporation is the first certificate that is issued by the Registrar.
The text is in the Greek language, however, it is possible to order a certified copy Certificate of Incorporation showing that the company was incorporated under the Cyprus Companies Law (Cap 113) and the date that the company was incorporated.
The certificate is necessary for due diligence purposes, mainly for the governmental authorities in Cyprus such as the opening of corporate bank account and court proceedings.
When the Certificate of Incorporation is apostilled, it is valid for international use of legal purposes.
